Current Author’s Bio:

Anbar Bermejo is a writer, researcher, and creative world-builder whose work moves fluidly between fiction, history, and myth. Drawing on a background that spans data analysis, romance storytelling, and lifelong independent study, she crafts atmospheric narratives rich in moral tension, symbolic detail, and the quiet collisions between inner worlds and inherited traditions.

With Monstruo: A Beauty and the Beast Novella, her first English novel, Bermejo reimagines the classic tale through a haunting lens of faith, folklore, and forbidden secrets. Archaeologist Isabela de la Cruz uncovers more than a silver bowl at the crumbling Mission San Cristóbal Canis, she encounters Bastián Tenorio, an elegant stranger whose shadow seems to live its own life, pulling her into a centuries-old conflict where beauty courts danger and love becomes the deepest haunting.

Whether exploring literary academia, reimagining fairytales, or philosophical reflections on personal grace and the power of cozy memory, Bermejo’s stories reward attentiveness. She views storytelling as a form of calibration: inviting readers to slow down, reflect deeply, and see clearly amid the noise of modern life. Her work has been featured in press and media, and she continues to share thoughtful reflections from her writer’s desk at anbarbermejo.com.
