After given advice to seek the secret of “the hermit”, I set out to find a way to retreat from technology. Naturally after searching online I found the perfect remedy.
Participating in a three day silent break at the beautiful Bellarmine Retreat House, were all electronics are turned off, and all I had to do was attend talks, videos and presentations I returned home feeling comforted and renewed. Of course, the leader of the retreat is the only person who speaks, with everyone else completely reframing from even the most basic nicety, guides the retreatant into a relax state.
Returning home I found my cup filled with the quiet time with the lord been enjoyed, and to reflect on for the rest of the week, and to my greatest wonderment.
